The Isuzu D-Max AirTec Snorkel with TÜV Certificate

The latest product from TJM, the AirTec snorkel, is state-of-the-art Australian off-road technology and is essential for off road touring with your Isuzu D-Max. Due to the TÜV Certificate issued exclusively to us, the TJM AirTec Snorkel is road legal in Europe as well.

The Isuzu D-Max Snorkel makes deep water crossings possible. But the relocated air intake does not only help with river crossing but is also handy on flooded roads. This is because the water front forming in front of the vehicle when driving through shallow water can cause a lot of water to enter the engine compartment, even at low watt depths. This can lead to various problems and cause serious damage.

The fuel-air mixture in the D-Max is compressed by the pistons to a ratio of approximately 14 and 18 to 1. With additional water in the mixture, this ratio is not possible and the piston cannot work properly. Due to the suddenly occurring enormous forces that act here, damages can occur in the piston, the piston rods or the connecting rod.

This off-road product is available either in the typical Ram-Air system, which is the standardised air intake, or as a Wedgetail version. The Wedgetail design has been specially developed by TJM and features improvements in air resistance.
